Wingate University students, faculty and staff can use the McGee Center at no charge. Your Wingate University Student ID card is required to enter. There is a fee for an optional towel service and to work with a personal fitness trainer.

It’s not all fun and games. We also offer employment opportunities. Students can get a job leading fitness classes, refereeing intramural games, or helping manage the facilities, all while developing marketable skills that will help them succeed after graduation. Wingate graduates who worked for Campus Recreation have gone on to careers in outdoor education, campus recreation, and fitness training fields.

With all that we offer, students can fit in a Zumba class after studying for midterms or plan on an outdoor adventure. Intramural teams are a great way to make new friends and keep up with those soccer skills. And our suspended running/walking track is perfect for a run between classes.
